Little ones now have the opportunity to learn Mandarin after school in a fun and engaging manner.
We incorporate fun activities such as art and drama to promote interest and effective leaning. Children at this age tend to learn vocabulary related to their environment. Therefore, the chosen topics are practical to the children and they are able to use them in their daily life.
The classes are designed to build a solid foundation for learning Mandarin, which focus on:
· Phonetic symbols and tones
· Listening and speaking skills
· Chinese characters
· Vocabulary and sentence structures
· Character writing and reading skills
Music
Our newly created innovative music & movement progamme has fun filled classes of singing, dancing, movement and instrument play aimed to enrich children’s music experience and increase their music potential. The curriculum is specially designed to establish a sound musical foundation and successful learning habits that children will build upon when they move on to private lesson or any future instrumental studies.
Through this programme, children can:
· Improve pitch and rhythm skills.
· Develop critical listening skills, such as the ability to identify when notes are correct or incorrect when listening to familiar songs.
· Learn about instruments (band and orchestra instruments).
· Experience playing keyboards. Fun keyboarding activities help prepare our students for future keyboard or piano lessons.
· Develop creative listening skills. When listening to classical music, we ask our students to use their imagination to create a picture in their mind of what the music makes them think of.
Lessons are also planned to complements the children’s academic learning. Concepts in Science, Maths, languages, and other subjects are integrated into the music & movement curriculum, introduced through exciting games and activities.

Lessons are conducted once a week, on Wednesdays, from 2pm to 3pm.
